5. Using the Gateway
The gateway is configured to start automatically when power is applied. After connecting the power supply, wait about 1 minute for start-up to finish; the gateway is then ready to use.
You connect to the gateway from a computer and sign in to the gateway management page in a browser.
The first time you connect to the gateway, use an Ethernet cable between the computer’s LAN port and the gateway’s LAN port.
We recommend the latest version of Chrome on the computer used to sign in. Browsers such as 360 or IE may not render the page completely.
To switch the gateway off, use the Shutdown/Restart Gateway function button in the top right of the gateway management Home page, and unplug the power cable only after the gateway’s power LED has gone out.
The navigation bar at the top of the gateway management page contains four menus: Configurations (Machines / Group / Task / Communication), Diagnosis (API Test / Network Tools / Logger), App (DNC / Analysis / Monitor) and System (Network / Settings).
